Dear Reader,
From the very first day I set foot in Koboko after retirement from the diplomatic service of Uganda, I felt the urge deep in my heart to return to my community and contribute to their development. That journey not only took me to Koboko but to a large section of West Nile region to promote agricultural activities with particular focus on cocoa promotion.
Since 2011 when we established Natures Harvest KK Limited, we embarked on promoting agricultural activities – working with women, men, youths, and refugees with a common purpose of improving their livelihoods.
We started by promoting the growing of upland rice(NERICA #New Rice for Africa), grafted mangoes, and sunflower for extracting sunflower oil, which were all appreciated by the communities. From sunflower we produced Ajabu Sunflower Cooking Oil made from our oil mill installed at Kuniro – Koboko District.
From there we progressed into introducing the growing of perennial crops particularly coffee and cocoa in Koboko and West Nile region which hitherto had been a tobacco growing region with devastating effect to the environment and people’s livelihoods.
Therefore, with passion and sacrifice, Natures Harvest KK Limited is committed to supporting farmers and households in improving their livelihoods through production of high value crops with particular focus on the growing of cocoa in the West Nile region.
Thank you for visiting our website and let us all join efforts in improving our household incomes and standards of living through high value production of agricultural crops.
Sincerely,
Amb. James Baba
Executive Chairman
